bookmark_borderCall Me Evil (Tymur’s Song)

When I was eight, I touched a scroll that held a demon’s soul.
From that day on, my life was changed: I feel it made me whole.
I do not feel what others feel, such things as grief or pain,
but still I find much joy in life, like leaving bodies slain.

So if you call me evil
You’re absolutely right.
But mind that you don’t mention it
If I’m in line of sight.
For once I’ve got you on my list
I’ll come for you at night:
Though there’s a noose around my neck,
It never will draw tight.

I wear my mask, my handsome face, so folks like me around.
I chitter-chatter pleasantly, joke that I’ll ne’er be crowned,
Since I was born the youngest son, fifth prince of princes five.
And yet my brothers better run before I take their live.

So if you call me evil
You’re absolutely right.
But mind that you don’t mention it
If I’m in line of sight.
For once I’ve got you on my list
I’ll come for you at night:
Though there’s a noose around my neck,
It never will draw tight.

My dream’s to slay the sorceress who can’t bleed or be killed:
One needs ambitious goals in live to make sure one grows skilled.
She is the only one to tell if truly I’m possessed
So I’ll make sure that no one knows, and killing is the best.

So if you call me evil
You’re absolutely right.
But mind that you don’t mention it
If I’m in line of sight.
For once I’ve got you on my list
I’ll come for you at night:
Though there’s a noose around my neck,
It never will draw tight.

I’m gathering a band of goons to set out on my quest
And have them quarrel day and night about who loves me best.
Just to make sure they’ll never see what lurks behind my eyes
For the first one to call me out will be the next who dies.

So if you call me evil
You’re absolutely right.
But mind that you don’t mention it
If I’m in line of sight.
For once I’ve got you on my list
I’ll come for you at night:
Though there’s a noose around my neck,
It never will draw tight.

bookmark_borderBlack Magic Oil

I’m a handsome young hero and tired of light,
for there’s powers of great in the darkness of night
Still one thing is needed my virtue to spoil:
An ointment of evil called Black Magic Oil.

O Demon, dear Demon, what took you so long?
Your Black Magic Oil is so potent and strong!
I long for vile darkness, for torment and toil –
will you give me a dose of your black magic oil?

So I summoned a demon, t’was just for to try,
And I asked what he’d pay if my soul he could buy.
Then I summoned another – you’d better compare:
If you give up your soul, just make sure you’re paid fair.

O Demon, dear Demon, what took you so long?
Your Black Magic Oil is so potent and strong!
I long for vile darkness, for torment and toil –
will you give me a dose of your black magic oil?

The demons they smiled and they asked for my name
and I said »I’ll tell you if you tell me the same.«
Then they said: »What you ask for can mean great turmoil –
Are you sure you want us to make Black Magic Oil?«

O Demon, dear Demon, what took you so long?
Your Black Magic Oil is so potent and strong!
I long for vile darkness, for torment and toil –
will you give me a dose of your black magic oil?

I said: »Look, my dear demons, I summoned you here –
my heart’s on the dark side, there’s no sign of fear.
I’ve forsaken the Good side, for darkness I’ll moil-
now do what it takes to make Black Magic Oil!«

O Demon, dear Demon, what took you so long?
Your Black Magic Oil is so potent and strong!
I long for vile darkness, for torment and toil –
will you give me a dose of your black magic oil?

My house it resembles an outpost of hell,
With devils and demons, more than any can tell.
Now stuck in this kettle and brought to the boil,
I knowi> what it takes to make Black Magic Oil.

O Demon, dear Demon, what took you so long?
Your Black Magic Oil is so potent and strong!
I long for vile darkness, for torment and toil –
will you give me a dose of your black magic oil?

bookmark_borderAngels of the Deep

One night, when I was sound asleep,
I met an Angel of the Deep.
It was no dream, for I was there:
The Deep so dark, the Angel fair,
a tall-grown man, face like a sphinx,
with silvery hair and swan-like wings,
would roam the oceans down below,
where even Death does fear to go.

They tell me Heaven’s in the sky,
and Hell is down below.
They think it true, so it’s no lie,
but angels swim and Demons fly,
for I’e been there. I know.

Maybe the Angel called my name
or whispered it. The sound’s the same:
A bell within my heart, a gong,
and I, who waited for so long
would rise out off my sheets and drown
within his eyes. Come down, come down!
And though he never touched my hand,
he took me where all light does end.

They tell me Heaven’s in the sky,
and Hell is down below.
They think it true, so it’s no lie,
but angels swim and Demons fly,
for I’e been there. I know.

Down, down we ventured, side by side,
and with his wings, he ploughed the tide.
And I beheld, like in a trance,
his beauty and his elegance.
And darker as the ocean grew,
his gleam grew bright and brighter, too,
until his body, silvery scales,
would shine like stars of many tales.

They tell me Heaven’s in the sky,
and Hell is down below.
They think it true, so it’s no lie,
but angels swim and Demons fly,
for I’e been there. I know.

I touched the water and grew cold.
I touched the darkness and grew old.
But he did smile, his face so fair,
and breathed the water like the air.
And when I started smiling, too,
I could behold I dazzling view,
of thousand Angels, wild and free,
who swam like skylarks of the sea.

They tell me Heaven’s in the sky,
and Hell is down below.
They think it true, so it’s no lie,
but angels swim and Demons fly,
for I’e been there. I know.

As this abyss does bear no ground,
To nothing are the Angels bound.
They leave the Deep but late at night –
There can’t be Light where there is light,
since sun will melt all dreams to die.
But why so deep, if they could fly?
We fall and fall at midnight speed.
The Angels are where there is need.

They tell me Heaven’s in the sky,
and Hell is down below.
They think it true, so it’s no lie,
but angels swim and Demons fly,
for I’e been there. I know.
