Rund um meinen Hut

Rund um meinen Hut wind ich Zweige vom Weidenbaume,
Rund um meinen Hut, für ein Jahr und einen Tag.
Und wenn die Leut mich fragen, warum ich diese Weide trag:
Es ist für meinen Liebsten, den ich doch so sehr mag.

Mein Liebster ist gegangen, an einen fernen Ort.

Felders Abschiedslied

In the summer of 2006, a black swan appeared on Lake Aasee in Münster and fell madly in love with a swan-shaped pedal boat.

und so kam das Ende
vertraut, und voll Trost, wie ein Kuss.

Der Tod hat dich lieb bis zum Schluss.
